Mcd tiene 38.000 restaurantes mientras que shake shack 63. Sus beneficios han crecido espectacularmente y han llegado a los 82 millones de dólares , muy lejos de la milmillonaria facturación de Mcd.

Seguramente sea una buena inversión , pero está a años luz de Mcds.

nada tiene que ver con MCD, las subidas se deben a qué muchos analistas lo comparan con Chipotle, que salió a 22$ y ahora cotiza a más de 700$, puede ser opción para cartera growth de empresas pequeñas/medianas

Si le va bien, sus beneficios subirán muchísimo, la cotización dependerá de cuánto de grande sea ese crecimiento de los beneficios.

Es una empresa de altísimo riesgo. Por lo poco que he leído de ella, parece que que está haciendo las cosas muy bien. Son hamburguesas de lujo, podríamos decir, mucho más caras y mejores que las de McDonalds. Por tanto, son empresa "compatibles", en el sentido de que no compiten tan directamente como McDonalds y Burger King, por ejemplo.

Pero de momento no es una empresa de largo plazo, porque aún es muy pequeña.

Cuando se compra una empresa así, para el medio plazo, creo que hay que ponerse un stop-loss. Puede no estar muy ajustado, pero creo que en algún sitio debe ponerse, porque estos PERs tan altos son peligrosos.

Hace unas semanas estuvimos de vacaciones por Nueva York y buscando sitios para comer antes de viajar leímos mucho sobre Shake Shack, así que decidimos apuntarlo. Nos encanta comer y fue el único restaurante al que fuimos 2 veces. Creo que con eso lo decimos todo.

Las hamburguesas están deliciosas. Los locales, llenos a reventar. Fue el único restaurante donde tuvimos que hacer cola. Eso sí, atienden rapidísimo y la comida es excelente. Es cierto que es más caro que MCD pero la comida es mucho mejor.

Los locales no son grandes y apenas hay sitio para sentarse. Pero la gente va, come rápido y se va. Dudo que estén 15-20 minutos en la mesa. Es una cultura más de comer de pie o para llevar. Tengo dudas de si esa cultura iría bien en Europa que es más de comer sentada a la mesa. Sin embargo, creo que esta empresa tiene mucho potencial.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Shake Shack Inc. (“Shake Shack” or the “Company”) (NYSE: SHAK) today reported its financial results for the first quarter ended March 28, 2018, a period that included 13 weeks.
Financial Highlights for the First Quarter 2018:

• Total revenue increased 29.1% to $99.1 million.
• Shack sales increased 29.6% to $96.1 million.
• Same-Shack sales increased 1.7%.
• Operating income increased 15.7% to $6.5 million, or 6.6% of total revenue.
• Shack-level operating profit*, a non-GAAP measure, increased 28.5% to $24.0 million, or 25.0% of Shack sales.
• Net income increased 28.9% to $5.0 million and net income attributable to Shake Shack Inc. was $3.5 million, or $0.13 per diluted share.
• Adjusted EBITDA*, a non-GAAP measure, increased 32.8% to $16.2 million.
• Adjusted pro forma net income*, a non-GAAP measure, increased 54.0% to $5.7 million, or $0.15 per fully exchanged and diluted share.
• Nine system-wide Shack openings, comprising five domestic company-operated Shacks and four licensed Shacks.

* Shack-level operating profit, adjusted EBITDA and adjusted pro forma net income are non-GAAP measures. Randy Garutti, Chief Executive Officer of Shake Shack, stated, “2018 is off to a strong start as we built upon our fourth quarter momentum, reporting another quarter of robust top and bottom-line growth. We delivered year over year revenue growth of approximately 29%, including a 1.7% increase in same-Shack sales and grew adjusted EBITDA by over 30%.
